We say it a lot, readers make leaders. Of course we want our kids to be grounded and Godly! Read these books to your kids or read it and discuss with them as they get older. Just because this didn’t happen growing up doesn’t mean you shouldn’t. This is how we break generational curses.

Ten year olds +

Chocolate Soldiers by CT Studd (About passion for God, not just information.)
New City Catechism
(Really Discuss the ten commands and Lords Prayer)

Thirteen year old +

20 Beliefs by Wayne Grudem
Disciplines of a Young Godly Man (Woman) by Kent & Barbara Hughes
The Screwtape Letters by CS Lewis

Fifteen year olds +

Scary Close by Don Miller (relatiosnships, codependency, identity)
Live No Lies by John Mark Comer (battling the world, flesh and Devil)
Even in our Darkness by Jack Deere (a crazy honest and raw biography on owning the dark parts of our story, friendship with God & Spiritual Gifts)

Pro tip : if your kids are grown or otherwise not under your influence, and you haven’t read any of the above. Start there for yourself this year!
