The Apostle Paul tell us in 1 Corinthians 12:12-14 “Just as a body, though one, has many parts, but all its many parts form one body, so it is with Christ. For we were all baptized by one Spirit so as to form one body—whether Jews or Gentiles, slave or free—and we were all given the one Spirit to drink. Even so the body is not made up of one part but of many.”

We all have different cultures, backgrounds, and personalities, and even different spiritual gifts, given by God to us when we are come to faith in Jesus. However those gifts need to be discovered, and developed. This mostly happens through confirmation and affirmation of God’s people seeing these gifts in you as you step out in faith, and serve in community over the course of time. But we also have this self-assessment tool which can also help you begin to even think through some of the gifts God gives, and what you might already by experiencing in your life. We are encouraged to desire the gifts but pursue love (1 Cor 14:1), because when used correctly, loving people the way God made us, is loving people with the power of His Spirit working through us.
